1 Million People Have Bought Killing Floor On PC

Tripwire Interactive have reached an impressive milestone with their first person survival horror co-op game, Killing Floor. 1 million people have purchased the PC version. These are huge numbers for a game that began life as an Unreal Tournament 2004 total conversion back in the misty days of 2005. Killing Floor quickly became the top-selling Steam game when the retail version launched in 2009, and in addition to the one million sales for the main game, 2 million individual DLC packs have been purchased.

Granted, some of these numbers might have been the result of a free giveaway last December. Even so, this is a huge accomplishment, and to celebrate, Tripwire Interactive is making Killing Floor available dirt cheap. Until midnight Thursday, Killing Floor is available at an 85% discount on Steam, for only $2.99.

I think you mean Unreal Tournament 2004, considering no UT4 exists as far as I know ;)

And yay, that means I’m one in a million…

Tripwire had no ing idea they were getting their company saved by getting Alex’s KF into a Retail product.

Truth be told they also gave immense support to the community and the original mod fans kept up with the game and helped it grow to what it is now.

I’m surprised they duped a million into buying this over the last 3 years.
Its boring as hell, standing around killing zombi NCP waves with a group of real life douche bags that should be shot at instead. PUKE!
Its a totally worthless Left 4 Dead knock off, wannabe, both games suck,
but Valve should have sued them for being so Ya right,
every time I turn around some guys rubbing his effing trouser snake on me.

Killing Floor is older than Left 4 Dead if at all L4D could be a KF knock off The game is well worth it considering the fair mount of mod support it has and you gain access to a total conversion called “Defence Alliance 2″ that is more or less a game of its own.
