10 Reasons To Read the Portal 2 Comic

If you’ve been too busy playing Portal 2 to have discovered that Valve posted a Portal comic on the game‘s official website, then now would be a good time to read it. Portal 2: Lab Rat tells the tale of Rat Man, from his days as an Aperture Science employee, to his escape–and return–to the facility.

And if “Portal 2 comic” didn’t have you furiously clicking your way over to read it, here are ten reasons you shouldn’t skip it:

  1. It bridges the storyline between Portal and Portal 2
  2. You meet Doug “Rat Man” Rattmann, the schizophrenic scientist who scrawled “the cake is a lie”
  3. The artistic style conveys Doug’s descent into madness
  4. It has more of the Portal humor we’ve come to love
  5. It’s free
  6. You learn a little more about Chell
  7. GLaDOS quotes!
  8. Touching moments with the companion cube
  9. Cave Johnson–’nuff said
  10. Neurotoxin

Check out our guide on how to find all of Rattman’s dens, which are scattered throughout the early chapters of Portal 2, and read the Portal 2 Comic (27 page PDF) now. Do it.
