13 Minutes of Modern Warfare 3 That I Hadn’t Seen Before

SpikeTV/GTTV’s E3 coverage this week featured a ton of random game demos, and while I was aware that this existed and even had it on while I was working Monday, I couldn’t pay attention to it because I was too busy writing 43 news posts that day. But I had a chance to watch it just now, and holy s–t. I know it’s fashionable to hate on MW3, but this game is gonna be the king of something come November, and I’ll be more than happy to pick it up. Just look at this:

Boring. More of the same we’ve been playing every year. Nothing new here, move along.

Yeah, well because I liked Call of Duty before it was bastardized console game with a $60 yearly subscription fee, I suppose I’m a CoD hipster. I have played over 1200 hours of CoD + CoDUO + CoD2 + CoD4MW. Under 30 of CoDWaW+CoDMW2+CoDBO. Come autumn, it’ll be BF3 for this guy.

At first I was going to disagree with the first post, but after watching the video I can’t… it’s true – this is the same game as COD4 and MW2 and Black Ops, it is actually boring to watch, I can’t imagine it will be much more fun to play. Compared to what I’ve seen of BF3, this game is shaping up to be total garbage.

Just one last thought… while watching this clip I kept thinking to myself… what is the point of fighting at wall street? Then I realized, this is probably the fantasy of a bunch of the stockholders at Activision studios. I don’t think the original infinity ward would ever have been so unoriginal. What’s next for the COD franchise? Fighting on the moon with thermonuclear bombs.
