$150 Kinect and $200 4GB Xbox Arcade Slim Confirmed
The speculation is over and it looks like the rumors were correct. Microsoft’s upcoming Kinect accessory will retail for $150. Today Microsoft’s Adam Greenberg confirmed the $149.99 US retail price for the motion sensor/camera with the bundled Wii Sports clone – Kinect Adventures. Kinect games themselves will sell for $50 a piece, bucking the trend of $60 AAA new releases.
Greenberg also confirmed the Xbox 360 Slim Arcade unit with 4GB of flash memory built in that everyone assumed was coming August 3rd for $200 and a Kinect+ Slim Xbox 360 Bundle for $400 in November when the Kinect launches..
The Kinect price seems a bit high to me but maybe the casual market won’t mind. Again it’s funny that the “projected” costs from Gamestop and other retailers effectively proved prescient.

$50 is probably all those games are worth anyway. Shovelware ahoy!
