Eish man!Wii sports is taken over dawg.I mean that is some major competition from the woods.Looks like Nintendo was planning its comeback when Playstation and Xbox were up against each other.You might see the guys down there are failing but you don’t know what they have planned for you.Keep the trend going Ninty.We need tough competition from people like you.

That could be it; however, I have a personal gripe with that, simply because it’s a 2007 award. I would think that they would be looking at games in light of the current gaming environment, and not that of 1997.

That’s just me, though.

Perhaps Ron, they were taking multiplayer back to the roots when considering that factor and decided that Sports had the best offline multiplayer as it involved so many people and was so fun. Just guessing though. I am entirely surprised it won that when I was certain WoW would get it.

Wii Sports?

I mean, seriously. World in Conflict alone pounds Wii Sports into the ground. WoW’s Burning Crusade expansion is packing how many million subscribers? Battlefield 2142 killed the series, and was still better than Wii Sports. Heck, even Crackdown was a more lasting multiplayer experience.

Don’t get me wrong, Wii Sports can be fun under an exact set of conditions (friends over, everyone into the game), but these games have one thing that Wii Sports doesn’t, and that’s the ability to play multiplayer without being in the same room. That alone should have put them over the hump.
