2008 2D/3D Environment and Character Design Competition Underway
Notes on Game Dev has invited budding game designers to enter the 2008 2D/3D Environment and Character Design Competition. Judges have been recruited from the game industry and are standing by to take your submissions. Bethesda ‘s own World Artist, Nate Purkeypile is one of the chosen few, so be nice to him on the Forums.
The competition invites artist to submit entries for any of four categories. 3D Environment Art, 3D Character Art, 2D Environment Art and 2D Character Art. You can submit one entry for each category. Prizes include a full Game Art Certificate Program from Sessions Online Schools of Game Art, a broad choice of instructor-led game art and animation classes, membership in IGDA, and subscriptions to Game Developer Magazine.
You have until June 15 to get your work in. Check out the full details on the contest rules and prizes on Notes on Game Dev.
