3-D Printer Turns Virtual Minecraft Village Into Physical Model
Technology makes a lot of cool things possible. Researchers in Japan are using quantum levitation to help bring us closer to making WipeOut a reality, and with the help of a 3-D printer and some CAD software, a Minecraft fan has rendered a chunk of that world in our reality.
You can see photos of the finished product on the Flickr account of user post-apocalyptic research institute. Here’s the description of how it was done:
A 3D model of a minecraft-village, exported directly out of the game world using a modified minecraft.print() script, colored using CAD software, and printed on a Zprinter 650.
