30 Lay-Offs at Petroglyph

30 staff members have been laid off at End of Nations developer Petroglyph.

End of Nations writer and game designer Adam Stevens wrote two messages on Twitter that helped paint the picture: “Well, it appears this winter break will be extended indefinitely,” and, “Lay-offs at Petroglyph. Looking like I’ll be Leaving Las Vegas.”

Publisher Trion and developer Petroglyph previously postponed the End of Nations open beta indefinitely and refunded people who had already bought the game because “several key areas” of the game were identified as needing “polish and improvement” during closed beta. End of Nations community manager Myll Erik emphatically stated on the official forums that the game has not been canceled.
