$35,000 Red Orchestra 2 Mapping Contest Winners

Tripwire Interactive has announced the winners for the final phase of the Counterattack Mapping Contest for Red Orchestra 2 and is awarding over $35,000 in prizes. The contest versions of the winning maps are available on Steam Workshop, and the team aims to bring many of them into the fold as official RO2 maps in the future.

The Grand Prize, winning a further $5,000 and a unique, RO2-etched Origin Laptop, went to Danh Truong’s Winterwald.

Next, the winners in the “Best Original Level” category are:

1. Winterwald by Danh Truong, winning $5,000
2. Bridges of Druzhina by Kieran Tobin, winning $2,500
3. Coldsteel by Johan van Land, winning $1,000

The other category was for “Best Remake.” The winners are:

1. Gumrak Station by Maik Doktor, winning $5,000
2. Stalingrad Kessel by Florian Montaut, winning $2,500
3. Tie: Arad 2 by John Cree, winning $1,000; and Rakowice by Johan van Land, winning $1,000
