8-Bit Love At Tokyo Fashion Week 2011

And now for the perfect end to a perfect Friday, we leave with the best way to spend several thousand dollars (not shown at E3). Experimental Tokyo fashion house Anrealage has always come up with some fantastic (and frequently bizarre) couture, but at this year’s Tokyo Fashion Week, they’re outdone themselves for all time with a wardrobe that every single gamefronter either wants, or wants to buy for someone they love. It’s an entire line of clothes inspired by the aesthetics of 8-bit gaming.

These photos are great but you really should watch the entire show, if only for the live music that begins as a kind of atonal classical/electronic piece and morphs into full-on Nintendo style music.
