A Steam Petition To Get Valve to Say Something About Half-Life

A couple years ago, some folks on Steam started a petition. They wanted to get Steam members to “sign” it in hopes that they could get Valve to say something about Half-Life 3/Half-Life 2 Ep. 3. So far, they have about 1,200 signatures that they’ve collected over the past two years. So far, the petition hasn’t gotten anything done.

That’s not to say it’s a bad idea, though. If you’re gonna beg for news, you might as well beg with 1,200 of your closest friends. I’m not going to sign this petition, but I will do some begging of my own.

Valve: please just say something already about Half-Life. It’s been too long. You need to give us hope that this story will be wrapped up someday. Pretty please?

its funny because half of those people weren’t alive for HL1 and the other half don’t have accounts older than 2008

My Steam account has 03 on it, what’s your say?

Why not starve gabe instead? That should surely get his attention!

Since Gabe is a huge fan of Subway, find the store where he get’s his food and get him banned from it.

Won.net all the way… Steam? ’03? I scoff at your jumping on the band wagon, CS since beta, that’s 1998 snizbatches and TFC… Hah, I was playing that before it was classic, and Valve… You do great work, but I was In high school when you announced TF2 and I had my doctorate by the time it was released… So, a bit more umph would be… Great… We’re gonna need you guys to come in on Saturday… Yeah…

Sadly I honestly have no enthusiasm for the next / last segment of this Half Life saga. I guess something had to take over for Duke Nukem Forever since it was actually released.

Forgot what? I haven’t forgotten anything about playing CS_siege or cz2 for TFC, and I remember nevev ever ever ever ever having trouble finding multiple populated servers, so, Half-life and it’s mods HAVE been that kind of a monster since 98, I’d even dare to say that counter-strike single handedly started a huge influx of cybercafe’s, especially in southern California…

Maybe you’re confused and think that steam has been around forever? Before steam there was won.net, the world opponent network, steam was released sometime after source or around the same time I think…

I guess me scoffing in your general direction was a bit rude, I was just trying to be a smart ass…

Steam was like a drug, When it was first released it was crap and just about everyone hated it, I remember reading all the hate thread in the forums back then but after a couple years people stopped talking about it negatively and then a couple more years still after that it became this program we couldn’t live without mostly thanks to the hardcore special deals they where doing with the added success of TF2 and L4D.
