A Trio of Witcher 2 Trailers
With the release of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings have come three new trailers. That’s right, three. If the first trailer doesn’t win you over, the second or third will. Well, that’s probably the publisher’s intention, at least.
Trailer 1 — Love & Blood:
Whether they were intentional or not, I saw two movie references in there…
First, when the man said, “No, Witcher… I sense you’ll tell me,” I half expected him to say, “No, Mr. Bond… I expect you to die.”
Second: at 1:29, Jack Sparrow about to be swallowed by the Kraken.
Trailer 2 — Disdain & Fear:
Skinny dipping! Nothing grabs an audience’s attention like boobs.
Trailer 3 — Hope:
The piano score paints an almost eerie contrast to the drums and electric guitars of the previous two trailers. All kidding aside, these are three powerful trailers. Maybe the developers couldn’t decide which to go with and released all three — and I can’t blame them. After seeing those, I sure as hell want to play the game.
