Joystiq has come in receipt of an image from Wal-Mart’s intranet which shows a listing for something called Halo “Blue.” The image comes by way of what they call a “trusted Wal-Mart source,” so it’s unlikely that this is just some fake, Photoshopped image.
Still, what could something called Halo “Blue,” really be? It’s not much of a name, that’s for sure.
In what could quite possibly be related news, Joystiq is also reporting on a rumor that the next Halo game will be a tactical game; “a cross between Ghost Recon and Gears of War” that will be “darker [and] grittier” and won’t be focused on everyone’s favorite Master Chief.
I’m actually hoping the two aren’t connected, and that Halo “Blue” turns out to be a re-release of the original Halo with jazzed-up graphics and online co-op. I’m certain that’s not what it is, but it’s nice to dream.
Either way, we’ll likely be finding out in just a few hours.

This is just speculation, but perhaps with the new 60 gig Xbox 360s comming out “Halo blue” is a collectors edition case for new console units that has Halo 3 packaged with it. Sorta like what they are doing with the Nintendo DS units.

@Gauldar
That’s a good point….it may not be a game at all. Only time will tell I guess.

Yeah, because as long as someone says, “I got this from a trusted source” you know the information must be good. It’s not like fried-of-a-friend stories ever turn out to be false.

Meh, who cares anyways if it’s legit information or not, this isn’t exactly ground breaking news.
It’s kinda moot if ya ask me.

You guys are probably taking this little to far. Its probably just a the blue master chief action figure. Probably the old ones because I dont think McFarlen deals to walmart.. but either way I think your taking it to far. Its probably a toy or trading cards or something.

It’s a game, not a system or a flash drive.
Look, it says its “M” rated, and that its a shooter.
Unless the 60 GB systems are coming loaded with auto-turrets
and a naked women for the skin, It wouldn’t be classified
as an M rated shooter.

Moose nailed it, it’s a shooter game rated M.
p.s. I would love to have the skin for my box showing skin.
