Game Front has been offering up the best serving of video game culture since 2001. Whether you’re looking for news, reviews, walkthroughs, or the biggest collection of PC gaming files on the planet, GameFront has you covered. We also make no illusions about gaming: it’s supposed to be fun.
To that end, we’ve assembled a staff of gamers whose experiences span years, consoles, PCs, and even mobile platforms. This is our Game Front team:
Mark Burnham – Editor-in-Chief
Mark Burnham is a video games journalist, musician and fiction writer living in Oakland, CA. Before becoming the Break Media Gaming Editor and Editor-in-Chief of Game Front, Mark got his start in the gaming world at mahalo.com, where he spearheaded their gaming division–a wiki-style compendium of video game walkthroughs, cheats and tips. Before that, he was the Senior Editor for the LA-based college culture rag Saturday Night Magazine.
Mark can commonly be found in and around the Oakland area with his wife, enjoying video games, guitar, books and good beer.

Ron Whitaker – Senior Editor
Ron’s been a PC gamer since the 80′s, and remains one today. He joined Game Front in 2004, back when the site was still known as FileFront. Since then, he’s served in a number of capacities around the site, and is currently the site’s Senior Editor. Prior to joining Game Front, he did freelance work for several gaming-related websites. When he’s not working, he’s relaxing at home in central Kentucky, where he enjoys playing games of all types, playing golf, playing with his son, sampling a variety of imported beers, and restoring his classic muscle car.

Jeff Mills – Community Manager
Jeff Mills has been working for Game Front since April of 2000 (most of his adult life!) working in a variety of different areas of the site but finally settling into the role of Community Manager. Currently his job, when not adding content to the ever growing database of games, is to relay information to and from the sites’ community through our forums and network of game sites we host.

Ryan Marsh – File Manager
After graduating from UC Riverside, Ryan Marsh spent a year freelancing as a technology writer before joining Game Front as PC gaming File Manager. He is a metal music, craft beer and video game fanatic. Ryan can often be found in Glendale, CA sipping on an imperial stout and blasting the doom-laden sounds of Electric Wizard.

Phil Hornshaw – Deputy Editor
Helping to fulfill Game Front’s federally mandated “Phil” quota, Hornshaw is an author, gamer, tech writer and former “for real” journalist originally from the Detroit area. Now living in Los Angeles, he splits his time between analyzing the deeper meanings of video games and enjoying them on his iPhone. His first book, So You Created a Wormhole: The Time Traveler’s Guide to Time Travel, was penned with best friend and writing partner Nick Hurwitch and released in 2012.

Ross Lincoln – Associate Editor
Ross Lincoln is a Los Angeles based writer and dilettante who grew up in Oklahoma but left as soon as he realized people were permitted to do so. His work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Brand X, LA Weekly, LAist, and numerous sites including his own poorly maintained blog. When he’s not covering video games for Game Front, he writes about music, politics and pop culture. He lives in Echo Park with his girlfriend and 2 cats, and spends far too much time enjoying gaming, scooters, and single malt scotch.

C.J. Miozzi – Associate Editor
CJ Miozzi joined Game Front in 2010 after putting a Geology career on hold to explore more creative fields. A freelance writer/artist and PC gaming loyalist, his computer is not just his instrument — it’s an extension of his body. CJ lives in Montreal, Canada, where he writes fiction, plays D&D, and regularly fights off polar bears that camp outside his igloo on the frozen river.

Ben Richardson – Associate Editor
Ben Richardson is a freelance entertainment writer who has covered video games, movies, and music for the Boston Phoenix and the San Francisco Bay Guardian. Born in Washington, D.C., he currently resides amongst the vertiginous hills of San Francisco. He has been trying to beat Civilization on Deity, unsuccessfully, since he was ten years old.

Devin Connors – Associate Editor – Hardware
Devin Connors is a Los Angeles-based freelance technology and video games writer. The Massachusetts native started playing games like Leisure Suit Larry and Space Quest III on the family 386 at the age of four, and he was tinkering with computer hardware when the Y2K bug was still a hot topic. Devin started his career as an intern at Tom’s Games, followed by stints with Tom’s Hardware and Tom’s Guide, where he was most recently a Senior Editor. When he’s not obsessing over video cards and gaming mice for Game Front, you can find him sitting in one of LA’s many movie theaters, yelling at people who don’t turn off their phones.

James Murff – Associate Editor
James Murff was given a computer by his game-playing father at a very young age, and he’s been playing PC games ever since. Consoles come and go, after all, but PCs will always be around. Starting work as a videogame journalist in 2007, he’s done pieces and columns for sites such as Massively, Big Download, and Rock Paper Shotgun. Now he’s settled down at Gamefront, intent to talking way too much about MMOs and indie games.
When not playing or writing about games, James likes to cook, make amateur music, and enjoy the hustle and bustle of Seattle.

Matt Low – Associate Editor – MMOs
In an effort to help expand Gamefront’s Canadian contingent, Matt “Matticus” Low was brought on board to help contribute news and guides for PC games. His interests lie in League of Legends, World of Warcraft, and Counterstrike: Global Offensive. He’s an avid follower of the eSports scene (and a supporter of Team Dignitas). Matt hails from the west coast of Vancouver, Canada. There’s no rest for the weary as Matt runs his own raiding guild in what little spare time he has. You can find more of his work on Joystiq’s WoW Insider and his own World of Warcraft blog.
