Activision “Excited to Do Right” by PC Players with COD Elite

Call of Duty Elite
still hasn’t deployed on PC, but Activision is “excited to do right” by PC players when the stat tracking and community platform does launch on computers.

Activision producer Noah Heller told Eurogamer:

Unfortunately I don’t have an update for you at this time. We’re still working on it. We can’t date it yet. It’s a challenging piece of development. It’s really all I can say.

Back in the day I was a PC gamer myself. I cut my teeth on shooters on good, old fashioned Team Fortress 1. So I’m excited to do right by the PC players soon.

Unfortunately, Heller didn’t explain what was so challenging about the PC version of elite, but if I had to take a guess, I’d say it would involve making it resistant to hacking attempts. But hey — I’m no programmer.

Three words for you…VALVE ANTI CHEAT.

If the game itself can be manipulated in such ways..
with the amount of hacking, cheating padding and the availability of such tools and web communities groups on 1000′s of webpages across the internet? ABSOLUTELY NO point of “Elite Stats” on PC, ABSOLUTELY NONE!

But hey — I’m no programmer, these features are a total farce.

Just because hacking tools exist for the xbox 360 and other consoles as well, doesn’t render all competitive play on them pointless. lol
