Activision Reveals The Walking Dead FPS

Activision doesn’t seem to think zombies in Call of Duty are quite enough — they want more! The company has announced a first-person shooter based on The Walking Dead, being developed by Terminal Reality.

The game will tell the story of Daryl Dixon and his brother Merle as they travel to Atlanta. Both stealth and ass-kicking will be equally viable ways of dealing with zombies, and the game will also involved the survival horror elements of resource management — food and ammo, both in scarce supply.Other characters will be encountered, and “tough decisions” will allegedly have to be made — which I can only assume means you’ll have to decide whether or not to shoot an infected little girl in the face before she turns full zombie and bites off her mother’s ankles.

The game is schedule for a 2013 launch on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

Since those characters aren’t in the original comic, I’m guessing it will be a sort of prequel to the HBO series instead. Comic > series if you ask me.
