Additional Borderlands 2 Classes Confirmed

In case you were wondering if Gearbox intends to continue expanding Borderlands 2 beyond what they’ve already done, wonder no more. The Mechromancer isn’t the only new class they’re adding. In a tweet, Randy Pitchford said new classes are coming. Well, actually, what he said was ‘yes.’ In reponse to a question about whether or not there will be new classes. Way to understate!

Anyway, Borderlands 2 is getting new classes. Now run and tell the citizens.

Does anyone actually want new classes? Shouldn’t Gearbox be saving their class ideas for Borderlands 3? I guess it would be cool, but I would prefer new enemies to new classes. And I don’t mean re-skinned enemies.

I’m really surprised this is even considered news, the fact that Borderlands 2 was built to be able to have classes added into it means there will of course be more classes. Companies love money, and nothing spells maximizing profit like DLC. For 15 bucks you can get a new class which cost them approximately a dollar to create. DLC is the future, especially for anything online like CoD or Borderlands where you can just continually plug in content to buy. As for Borderlands 3, I can wait, cause it better be on Xbox 3 and not the lame @$$ outdated 360.
