AGDC 07: Interview with Lord of the Rings Online Jeff Anderson
Warcry was able to grab an interview with Turbine CEO Jeff Anderson at the Austin Game Developer’s Conference. Anderson is very pleased with Lord of the Rings Online, which is the second largest main stream MMO ever released, and willing to spill some details about the Book 10 and hint at the new content for Book 11.
Although the team is concentrating on the exciting new content in Book 11, Book 10 will complete the plans developers had for the launch with the implementation of player housing. The neighborhoods gamers have been told about will be on Streets that can be accessed by asking an NPC for directions. Developers hope to avoid the problem of urban sprawl and still give players a sense of being part of a living neighborhood. Session play such as chicken play is also included in Book 10.
The interview also covers future plans for Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar as well as future MMOs from Turbine. Read the full article on WarCry Network.
