Age of Conan Delayed

What’s with all the delays? Here’s yet another game you were looking forward to which won’t be coming out anytime soon.

Funcom just released a new release date for the game — March of 2008. But maybe this is a good thing.

“After careful consideration, and analysis of recent Beta feedback, we believe that the new release date is in the best interest of the gamers, our company and our owners,” Trond Arne Aas, Funcom CEO, said.

You have to admit, if they skip over important feedback and the game comes out short of expectations, everyone is going to ask why they decided not to work out those details. Hopefully they will fix whatever issues are causing the game to be held back by the time the next release date comes around.

“What’s with all the delays?”

I was wondering that as well. I suspect that games may actually be no more likely to be delayed now than they were 10 years ago but because we have so much more info about games in development the problems seems far worse.
