Age of Conan Developer Blog Debut

age-of-conan.jpg

Funcom designer Jason Stone aka “Athelan” introduced the inaugural edition of the Age of Conan Hyborian Adventures Developers Blog. The blog has been initiated as an additional communication platform to the Forums. In the first entry, Athelan introduces himself and gives Conan fans an idea of what they will find in future articles.

The goals for this dev-blog will be to highlight the goings on in the Age of Conan community, respond to community questions and feedback, give you sneak peeks into my own Beta experiences, and share tidbits from my life as a lucky sap who ended up with every nerdy gamers dream job (and a cute wife to boot!) – Jason “Athelan” Stone

Today there is already a new entry up. Athelan talks about the Open Beta, Cheetah 2 and answer many questions from the forums.

Here’s a sampling of questions answered in this latest entry:

  • Ongoing storyline quests will follow the destiny quest after launch.
  • PvE, Role-Play PvP, and PvP servers will be available at launch, but no list of server names or number of servers per region information is currently available.
  • PvP servers will have zone line and “just died” protection systems in place . Players will not leave a tombstone in PvP.

There are many more gameplay and mechanics questions available so check out the Age of Conan Developer Blog on MMORPG for full details.
