Age of Empires III Gets Collected

Those who missed it the first time around, or who just want another copy for LAN play with buddies should be on the lookout for Microsoft’s upcoming compilation of the latest Age of Empires game. Age of Empire III: Gold Edition will soon make its way to stores in preparation for the upcoming Asian themed expansion.

The Gold edition includes all the content from last year’s Warchief’s expansion which featured the native tribes as a controllable army in the game.  Age of Empires III covers the colonial era of history from the years of 1500-1850. Its unique card based reward system and the ability to earn rewards during repeated multiplayer  matches as you grow your favored civilization makes AOE just a little bit more challenging than your typical RTS game.

Now if only they’d remake Age of Mythology using this engine I’d be a happy man.
