Alan Wake DLC Releasing July 27th

Alan Wake hits stores in the US on Tuesday, so it’s already time to start wondering what will be in the DLC for Remedy’s survival horror title. After all, anyone who buys a copy of Alan Wake will receive a code to download the first pack for free.

First off, don’t expect to extend the core story of the game. In an interview with " target="_blank">CVG, Remedy’s Oskari Hakkinen says that the DLC will give you, “a different perspective on the things you’ve done on season one and then trying to set you up for the possible things you’re going to do in season two.”

This raises a question immediately in my mind: Will we playing as Alan in these different perspectives? If we aren’t advancing the story, maybe we’ll be experiencing it through the eyes of another of the characters in the game. Of course, it could also be that Alan wants to take a fishing trip, and we’ll see that perspective, complete with an unlockable tackle box and some odd achievements (Hey, it could happen!).

What form do you think the “different perspective” will take? Let us know!

We’ll all find out this summer, as the new DLC will land July 27th on XBox Live, according to Remedy’s Twitter.
