Alan Wake Wears Flannel in Alan Wake: Night Springs (PIC)

Anybody else simply pumped to hear absolutely anything about Alan Wake: Night Springs? After the release of the franchise’s opening title on Xbox 360 in 2009, I simply can’t wait for more.

Rising to the surface from Cauldron Lake is a single image for the digital download follow-up to the psychological thriller, and it has Alan Wake (the man) looking decidedly … local. Flannel and a nail gun? Hmmmmmmm, Alan. Has something crazy gotten into your brain? I HOPE SO.

Giving this shot a little analysis, we see that it appears as though Night Springs has a desert setting. The fictional town is noted on the sign on the right — “Night Springs” is the “Twilight Zone”-alike TV show that pops up in Alan Wake, and Wake the writer used to work on it. Wake’s attire suggests that perhaps his life has changed significantly. Like maybe he’s a snarky, disgruntled carpenter now. I direct your attention to Exhibit B: Nail Gun.
