Aliens: Colonial Marines is “Passionless” Says Actor Michael Biehn

Gearbox’s Aliens: Colonial Marines is a train wreck, and most, if not all of the criticism towards the game has been well deserved. A new interview with Corporal Hicks actor Michael Biehn adds onto the pile today, as the actor called the game a “passionless” project to work on.

Speaking with GameInformer, Biehn compared his recent role as Rex Power Colt in Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon with his reprisal of Corporal Hicks in Aliens: Colonial Marines. Biehn described his work on Blood Dragon as a positive experience, complimenting the game’s creative director Dean Evans’s “interesting and creative presence.” Biehn however, had far fewer good things to say about his work on Aliens: Colonial Marines.

“It seemed kind of passionless,” Biehn said. “I think in movies, television and the gaming world, you get some people that are really, really passionate, and some people that are just going through the paces. They think that because they have a brand name they’re going to get a hit game or hit movie out of it. That certainly was the situation on [Aliens: Colonial Marines].”

His comments does Aliens: Colonial Marines few favors, and simply goes to show how right criticism towards the game is.
