Allegations Of Cheating Rock LoL Playoffs

Well this isn’t good. The first weekend of the League of Legends playoffs (held over this past weekend) were already notable for having featured, as PC Gamer puts it, some rather aggressive strategies by some players. However, observers of the live tournament here in LA are accusing competitors of gaining an unfair advantage – cheating, if you will – during the match.

This is kind of weird, but it seems that in the arena, two giant minimaps had been setup for the benefit of the attending audience. Players on the scene needed only turn their heads a bit to see them, giving them a huge advantage. Two teams – World Elite and Azubu Frost – have been accused of doing just that. The full story can be found over at PCGamesN.

Riot is investigating.
