Amazon Now Offering Xbox 360 To Xbox One Game Upgrades for $9.99

Amazon is now offering customers the ability to upgrade select copies of Xbox 360 games to the Xbox One for games that will be released on both platforms. The promotion lasts from now until Dec. 31.

For only $9.99, customers can choose to buy Xbox 360 games ahead of their Xbox One release and upgrade to the next-gen version by trading in their game. The promotion, which lasts until Dec. 31, applies to Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Watch Dogs, and other games that will be seeing a cross-gen release.

Those who trade-in a qualifying title will also receive $25 bonus credit toward an Xbox One game. This is in addition to the game’s already existing trade-in value, which will total at least $25.

However, the promotion can only be used once and it must first be approved by Amazon.

The deal is way less complicated than it sounds, and it’s especially good if you’re unwilling to wait for the next-gen release of Call of Duty: Ghosts while the current-gen game is out.
