Amazon Puts on Massive PC Game Sale for July 4
If you thought the Summer Steam Sale was cool, you should check out Amazon.com right now. It also has a massive catalog of downloadable titles, and those titles are also severely discounted — some as much or more than those on Steam right now. Go here to see the 199 games Amazon’s discounting. Notable are Dragon Age titles and Battlefield 2, among scores of others.
Amazon’s sale isn’t quite as phenomenal as Steam’s, but it’s damn close, and there are quite a few old games offered for extremely cheap rates, like Abe’s Oddysee up there. And let’s face it, for 84 cents, I’ll buy any video game ever. Once I bought Bionicle on the Playstation 2 because I found it for a dollar. It was terrible, but that dollar was good for many laughs.
Anyway, Amazon’s prices are even better than the comparable big EA Origin sale that’s going on for the holiday. Check both for a price comparison — here’s the Origin sale link — but you’ll probably find better prices on Amazon. And don’t forget to take a look at Steam before you buy, as the Summer Sale has featured games each day. This link will take you straight to Steam.
If you’re in the market for mobile games, specifically those on iOS, EA’s the place to be this weekend. They have 70 titles reduced to $0.99: the entire game catalog.
