Analyzer Person Says Starcraft II Should Roll In A Lot of Bank
Yeah, it’s a slow day, so I’m gonna talk about Starcraft II some more, which isn’t really a bad thing since it’s the biggest game of the month and it comes out on Tuesday. Anyway, I had something I wanted to say here. Oh yeah; there’s this guy named Mike Hickey (chortle), who works for a company called Janco Partners, and he predicted today that seven million copies of Starcraft II will be sold in the current fiscal year, which is like $350 million dollars in money. Which is a lot of money. Man, I thought PC gaming was dead, man, but, man, maybe I was way wrong. And I just knew that real-time strategy was dead, but jeez.
Interestingly, the thought is that most of those players will actually be Korean, because they love the s**t out of Starcraft over there. I mean, they did give those giant-ass planes the Starcraft treatment last month. EDIT: Oh wait, don’t Korean WoW players get the game free? Wouldn’t that put a dent in that money total?
