And Here’s How a Modder Will Fix Skyrim’s UI

On PC, Skyrim’s UI sucks. You’ve said it, we’ve said it, and we’ve been waiting for mods to fix it.

Fortunately, modders are on the scene. A thread in the Bethesda forums shows a mockup of a proper PC UI — a thread that became so popular that in a matter of two days, it was closed due to reaching the forum’s post limits, and the second thread is currently approaching its post limit as well. There can be no greater testament to how badly we want a fix for Skyrim’s UI.

It seems the UI is written in what amounts to a slightly modified version of Flash 8, meaning the full release of this mod may be sooner than we think. Just hang in there a little longer.

oops you can delete that last comment. the first one didn’t show up after 10 minutes so I got ****** off.
QDInventory isn’t my mod btw. I haven’t tried it so don’t know if its buggy or not. looks similar to the mockups though…

From Bethesda – not releasing source files or anything else UI related.

So chances of this ever coming out as a mod is unlikely. :(

Can’t wait. UI is awful. Keybindings are awful. No mousebutton4+ support. Even worse for a Southpaw.
