Another Assassin’s Creed in 2011?
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood isn’t even out yet (well, not for a couple hours, anyway), and we’re already moving on cryptic comments from Ubisoft about another AC game. No, really.
So Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot was on a conference call with investors today. And somebody asked him if there would be an Assassin’s Creed game released in 2011. And, cryptically, as I said, Guillemot came up with this to say: “There will be something around Assassin’s. That’s the only thing we can say.”
But that’s not all. Ubisoft folks also said on the call that it is their goal to have yearly AC releases, so this may just mean something. It could mean a full retail home console release, or it could be another portable game a la Bloodlines, or it could be — it could be — some big DLC like Dragon Age: Origins Awakening. Or it could be something completely different from all those things. My guesses don’t really mean much when I assume they’re wrong. Ugh.
Whatever it is, I hope we can get away from Ezio soon.
