Apple to Announce Its Next iPhone on Oct. 4
Mobile gaming is about to get shaken up again: Apple has started sending invites to a media event that seems to be an iPhone announcement.
In an uncharacteristic move, Apple included the text “Let’s Talk About the iPhone” on its media invites for the Oct. 4 event, which contained little other than that graphic you see above. It also seems that the event will take place in Cupertino, rather than the usual Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. The changes probably have something to do with Apple’s new CEO, Tim Cook, and the need for the company to reassure investors that Apple can still kick ass even though Steve Jobs has stepped out of the role (he’s still head of the board of directors, though).
As for the next iPhone, rumors pretty much universally state it’ll include the A5 processor that Apple rolled out with the iPad 2, which means it’s going to be a pretty sick little gaming device. With titles like The Dark Meadow coming soon, if you’ve got a phone upgrade coming, you might want to get it ready.
