Arma 3 Enters Beta, No Longer In Alpha

Arma 3 has been in alpha for awhile now, but no longer. It’s in beta now.

If you were a part of the Arma 3 alpha, which you could access by pre-purchasing the game on Steam, you’ll automatically receive an update on the platform to bring your files up to speed with the latest version of the game. If you aren’t already in the beta, you can pre-purchase the game for $44.99 and gain immediate access. In doing so, you’ll also get the full retail game once it’s released later this year.

The beta includes the entire 20km2² island of Stratis, 20 weapons, 18 vehicles, three factions, eight showcase missions, four multiplayer scenarios, four challenges, the scenario editor and modding support. It’s a fraction of what the full version plans to include, which is a section of the Mediterranean spanning over 290km², with over 40 weapons and 20 vehicles.
