Big news for fans of third person shooters. Electronic Arts finally announced the release date for its anticipated shooter Army of Two. The US and European street date for the game is November 15th. The already crowded AAA title list just got a bit longer for the Christmas season it seems.
Those unfamiliar with the game should know that EA promises Army of Two will redefine Co-operative gameplay with the two man system in the game. Reportedly the title relies upon two man tactics and features a jump in/jump out seamless transition from player control to AI controlled partners. Featuring two hardened mercs on a run to the top of the privatized military company ladder, Solomon and Rios are armed with the worlds best weapons and equiptment as well as tactics no one in Geneva would approve. Frankly there are very few real details about the game’s storyline at this point but a lot of press has been slotted toward the concept of tactical co-op play and the “real world” nature of the title. If it can pull off what it promises it might just pull me away from Gears of War co-op for a little while.
