Assassin’s Creed 3: How to Unlock Animus Hacks [Cheats]

In Assassin’s Creed 3, the Animus is the massive device that allows our hero to experience the events of Connor during the revolution — but this is not true time-travel, it’s a simulation and therefore can be manipulated later in the game with these secret hacks. Unlocking these cheats isn’t easy, as you’ll have to hunt hidden Pivots around the game map. Cheat List

  • To unlock cheats, you’ll need to collect hiddden Pivots. Once a new Pivot is collected, you can use these cheats through the Options menu.
  • Made of Steel: Invulnerability
  • Infinite Ammunition: Infinite pistol and arrow shots
  • Season Changer: Allows the player to switch seasons between summer and winter
  • Weather Man: Allows the player to set current weather conditions
  • Thunder Kill: Thunder and lightning followers every in-game kill
  • Sun and Moon: Allows the player to switch between day or night
  • Semi-Automatic: Ranged weapons have no reload time between shots
  • Killing Spree: Allowed to assassinate enemies even while not in stealth
  • Recruit: Unlocks infinite recruit tokens
  • Ninja: Enemy AI disabled; they will not see or hear the player

How to Synch Pivot Points

Note: Pivots only become available after finishing the campaign once, or during the game’s Epilogue.

  • Pivots are special hidden collectibles located in the regions around Assassin’s Creed 3. Pivots can only be found while online, though you can use the tutorial while in offline mode.
  • The tutorial will show you how to find three pivots. You’ll need those three to find more.
  • The rest of the pivots are randomly placed by other players, that’s why you must be online to collect the rest of the Pivots. To find these player-placed Pivots, you’ll need to triangulate their position with your currently discovered Pivots.
  • Placing three Pivots will create a green search zone on your map. These Pivots can be removed and added on your map screen — remove them by hovering your cursor over the pivot, and add them by hovering your cursor over the Connor icon.
  • Once a search zone is created, run through and search for a square icon on your mini-map, denoting a new Pivot. Each Pivot will unlock a new Animus Hack cheat code in the Options menu.
  • Pivots spawn every 15 minutes. A timer will appear in the menus.
  • Each Pivot is placed manually by a player. If another player finds your assigned Pivot, it will change locations during your search.

    The pivots aren’t necessary located by other players. After finishing the game, the pivots can be found around the frontier and Boston. Use your pivots to triangle the area, with more pivots its easier to find the next one using the green area.

    i can’t place/find any pivots, when i go to the pivot section it says 0 to find/0 to place help me please

    @Michael,

    Hmm, I’ve heard of this glitch before. To get pivots to work, you must be online and you must be in the Frontier. If it still doesn’t work, you might be experiencing a glitch.

    Unfortunately, AC3 is a pretty buggy game. Here’s hoping Ubi comes out with another patch to fix this, if that’s the problem.
