Assassin’s Creed 3 is Getting a Co-Op Mode

Yup, it’s now official — Assassin’s Creed 3 is getting a cooperative multiplayer mode called “Wolf Pack,” as revealed at San Diego International Comic-Con 2012 last week.

From the sounds of things, if you’ve played the multiplayer mode available in previous Assassin’s Creed titles, you’ll have an idea of what Wolf Pack is like. It’s a bit of a combination of multiplayer and “Horde” mode, in which you’ll team up with as many as three other players to take on computer-controlled enemies. Your goal is to assassinate certain targets in a set period of time; if you do it in the right amount of time, you’ll go on to face another, harder wave. The game throws in decoys and lookouts to throw you off, and targets will fight back, too.

Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the launch of AC3. Expect it on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in October; PC, Ubisoft says, is still slated for October as well.

I have to say its a great idea that they have included a “horde” mode into the game, its what I strive for in the game, ya know to really put skills to a challenge :)
