Assassin’s Creed 4: Freedom Cry Soon Available As Standalone DLC

Freedom Cry, the latest DLC chapter for Assassin’s Creed 4, is going to be released as a standalone expansion, according to Ubisoft.

For those that already own Assassin’s Creed 4, the $10 DLC is available like any other content pack. If you haven’t bought AC4 yet, but want to play Freedom Cry, $15 gets you standalone access, although we’re guessing you’ll want to play AC4 before jumping into a complimentary storyline. Freedom Cry follows Adewale, Edward Kenway’s first mate, after he was stranded in Haiti during AC4.

The standalone version AC4: Freedom Cry will be available through the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live on February 18th, and through Steam on February 25th. Check out our review of Freedom Cry here, and share your thoughts on the standalone package in the comments.
