Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Is Sub-1080p on Xbox One (RUMOR)

According to multiple sources, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag may not run at 1080p on the Xbox One.

During the latest episode of Annoyed Gamer, game journalist Marcus Beer mentions a visible difference between the two next-gen console versions of Black Flag. Beer says the Xbox One version looks “fuzzier” and “strained,” while the PS4 version looks “sharper”, “crisper”, and has “better draw distances”.

Via Twitter, former IGN editor Jeremy Conrad claims to have heard similar rumors regarding Black Flag’s native resolution on the Xbox One. He writes:

Conrad later added that this information has not been confirmed and is just a rumor.

Given other Xbox One titles aren’t running at 1080p — including Destiny, Battlefield 4, and Call of Duty: Ghosts, I don’t believe anyone would be surprised to learn that this is true.
