With more than 175,000 downloads of the single-player demo of Attack on Pearl Harbor that debuted in May, CDV Software is very excited over the interest in their WWII air-combat game. Scheduled for a late July release, you can still download the demo to get a taste of what the full release will feel like.
“Attack on Pearl Harbor is an extremely fun, unpretentious and accessible action title that should appeal even to the most casual action gamer, and is particularly enjoyable in multi-player matches via LAN or the Internet,” commented CDV USA’s Director of PR and Marketing, Mario Kroll. “We are delighted that this demo has resonated with gamers, confirming that even in a market dominated by gigantic budgets with a primary focus on console gaming, consumers continue to respond well to high-quality, well-priced PC titles.”
An aerial combat game that simulates the dogfights of the Pacific Theater of WWII, players get to experience the action first-hand as either an American or Japanese fighter pilot. The arcade-style gameplay of Attack on Pearl Harbor has an intuitive interface, detailed graphics, graphic novel inspired cut-scenes, and meticulous aircraft designs. The game features four different solo campaigns, a quick-play dogfight mode, and up to 12-player online gaming. Featuring a multitude of scenarios such as the Battle of Midway, Iwo Jima, the Doolittle Raid, Burma, Manila and the attack on Oahu – the campaigns span the months during 1941-1945 giving the player exciting combat to go along with these various missions.
You can still get the demo here at FileFront, and while you are here, check out all the cool screens and trailers we have available for the game.
