Awesomenauts Blasting Onto PC ‘Really Soon’

Side-scrolling multiplayer shoot-fest Awesomenauts popped onto Xbox Live and the Playstation Network earlier this year, and after receiving a pretty hefty fan response asking for the game on PC, DTP Entertainment and Ronimo Games have decided to bring it to Steam.

We don’t have a release date just yet, but you can expect Awesomenauts on PC “really soon,” according to the trailer embedded below. It’ll probably have a price comparable to its Xbox and Playstation counterparts — $10 or thereabouts.

If you’re unfamiliar with Awesomenauts, imagine crossing a MOBA with a side-scrolling action-platformer, and you’ve got a pretty good idea of what you’re in for. The game features 3-on-3 multiplayer battles, and it’ll pack drop-in, drop-out support as well as bots — so you won’t even have to have a full team to play. There’s also a lot of MOBA influence on this one, so you’ll be customizing characters and classes, upgrading their abilities and your bases, and so on and so forth.

Awesomenauts also supports both online and splitscreen play on the PC. You can check out the trailer for more info, and we’ll keep you posted for when you can expect the game to hit Steam.
