I still have my original Baldur’s Gate box set, complete with cloth map. There’s a precedent among old-school RPG gamers for physical, tangible products, and Oster offered us some hope:
The plan was for #baldursgate Enhanced Edition to be a pure digital distribution title.From fan interest we are looking into a box version

BG’s six character limit will remain for purposes of game balance, and AI will also remain largely unchanged:
We won’t be changing the gameto more than 6 characters, the entire game would have to be re-balanced.BG’s fun is partly the compromises

We’ve looked at the enemy AI in #bgee.We won’t mess too much with the default difficulty settings.For our new content they are nasty

Oster is no fan of silent protagonists and is looking to add great voice talent to the new content — don’t worry, Minsc fans, he’s got you covered.
Good voice talent adds an amazing dimension to characters.Our plan is to do high quality on every facet of new content #bgee

@davidscotton If the scope of our work includes new VO for Minsc, Jim Cummings would be getting the call. #bgee

Some bad news for fans hoping to see a Wii U or Xbox version of BGE:
@Glenn_Swift I can’t ever see us doing an Xbox version.The controller isn’t a good fit.Have to change too much. #bgee #justsayin

@Starscream8 We don’t do Nintendo development.Our previous experience with Nintendo was enough to ensure there will not be another.
