Bastion Creators’ Next Game, Transistor, Gets Release Date

The folks behind Bastion are taking their blend of isometric action-RPG into the realm of science fiction, and we’ll all be able to see the results next month.

The game is called Transistor, and Supergiant Games announced this morning that it will be released on May 20 on PC and PlayStation 4 for $20. Here’s the pitch:

Transistor invites players to wield an extraordinary weapon of unknown origin as they explore a stunning futuristic city. We’re designing our next game to seamlessly integrate thoughtful strategic planning into a fast-paced action experience, complete with our studio’s signature melding of responsive gameplay and rich atmospheric storytelling.

If you’re in Boston this weekend for PAX East, head on over to booth 892 to go hands-on with a near final build of Transistor and say hi to the devs.
