Batman: Arkham 3 2013 Release Confirmed

The third entry in the Batman: Arkham [insert noun] series has been confirmed by Time Warner to see a 2013 release.

During the company’s Q4 2012 earnings call, Time Warner’s CFO John K. Martin stated that the next Arkham game is expected to be a big revenue earner this year. He said:

“We expect [digital home video revenue] to grow close to 20% in 2013. And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise.”

In mid-January, Warner registered a dozen domain names, one of which is almost certainly the title of the next Arkham game. The top contender seems to be Batman: Arkham Arises, but Batman: Arkham Legend, Batman: Arkham Origins, and several variations on Arkham Universe are all on the list as well.

Personally, I agree with Game Front community member Supremeallah and think that they should just call the next game “The God-Damn Batman.”

Or “Arkham Big-Ass Planet”. I would totally buy that game.
