Batman: Arkham Asylum Gets Action Figures

One of the my favorite games of 2009 was Batman: Arkham Asylum (here’s our review). It captured the dark atmosphere of Arkham Asylum almost perfectly.

Due to its success, it was almost inevitable that there would be more to follow. We’ve seen an announcement of a sequel, Batman: Arkham Asylum 2, and now action figures based on the game‘s characters have been revealed.

The lineup of toys will include the figures you see above (Batman, Joker, Scarface, Scarecrow and Harley Quinn). Interestingly, the figures are identified as “Series 1,” which means that we may have more to look forward to. Maybe a Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, or even the Titan-enhanced Joker will show up down the road.

The figures are scheduled to be released in January of 2011, but you can get a closer look at them in ToyFare Magazine’s June 2010 issue. If you’d like to see a scan of the magazine ad for the toys, you can check it out after break.
