Gotham Base Jumper Achievement / Trophy Guide

  • After completing the main campaign, you’ll gain access to the restricted area at the center of Arkham City.
  • From there, you’ll be able to climb Wonder Tower. The tower is the tallest point in Arkham City, making it the easiest spot to start this achievement.
  • Jump off the tower and glide towards the Church. Eventually, you’ll hit the invisible barrier between Arkham City and the restricted zone, and Batman will automatically turn around.
  • To keep Batman airborne, just turn around to hit this invisible barrier again to automatically turn around, lifting Batman up to keep his glide going.
  • If you keep turning and hitting the barrier, you’ll always be up in the air, and will unlock this achievement / trophy in a minute flat. Easy!

How do you get back down from the tower after you get that achievement?

Hey Brutus,

Just return to the elevator you arrived in and hack the security panel. You’ll ride back down.

Hope that helps!

While getting to the invisible barrier did turn me around, I would always be a little lower than I was the last turn-around. Eventually, Batman gets too low and it cuts to the animation of him shooting a line back to the tower… Tried to do this achievement with these instructions for about 20 minutes before I gave up on it. Thanks though!

Ladies and Gentleman,

The simplest way to achieve this achievement is not to use the invisible barrier, but instead use batman’s grappling hook launcher. You will receive the grappling hook launcher gadget after u complete the first 4 AR Trainings. You must use this gadget after you’ve jumped from wonder tower to catapult you into the air. After u learn how the catapult works you will easily see how to earn this achievement. In a nutshell finish the first 4 AR Trainings the rest will be obvious once you learn how to use the new launcher gadget. Hope this helps.
