If you’ve ever seen Batman Begins, watched the various cartoon series, played the Batman: Arkham Asylum, or read a comic book in your life — you know where this is headed. Well, it just so happens Arkham City was built around Crime Alley. It’s time to pay your respect, below you’ll find a short guide telling you where to locate this achievement / trophy, and check off one more easter egg off your Arkham City checklist.

Pay Your Respects Easter Egg

  • To find Crime Alley, head south from the Church. The alley itself is just below the letters “Restricted Area” on your map. If you’re travelling around, you might find the Monarch Theater. Head around back of the theater.
  • In the alley, look for a lit section of concrete where two fresh chalk outlines have been drawn. Some flowers are laid down, with a note from Hugo Strange, and a tape.
  • Stand near the red rose and interact to kneel at the site of Batman’s parents’ murder. Don’t move for a minute, and you’ll unlock the achievement / trophy.
  • Be sure to take the tape left by Hugo Strange before you leave.

Thanks foor this, really helpfully. I’m glad they’ve done so many references to batman’s back story like this :)

Possibly a Kingpin reference? I’m going off the Daredevil movie and maybe over-analyzing a little bit but in that he leaves a rose by his victims. Possibly DC paying their respects to the competition? Just a thought.

“Daredevil reference” Holy Smokes newbie, I think you need a Dr. Strange lobotomy. YES you are over-analyzing so much that you made yourself look like an idiot. For many years (in comics and movies) batman has left a rose at his parents death-place. SO has Daredevil cornered the market on the use of roses in comic books??? DAMN DUDE, go to bed and take your marvel universe with you.

Holy rob, chill out, he was just posting an idea that was kinda thought provoking, he even said just a thought, why do you feel the need to lash out? I’m sorry he doesn’t suck on dc’s wiener as hard as you obviously do.

This is all well and good but when I go south of the church I run right into the big wall of the restricted area and I find no theaters to speak of. As far as I can tell it’s a lot of BS!

look, for the idiot who thinks it’s a Kingpin reference… stuff it. Bruce Wayne visits the sight on the anniversary of their murder….every year…and leaves but a single rose. it’s a Batman reference inside a Batman game, what the . who do these people think they are…and well, just noticed someone else already gave you for it. good times.

I feel so sorry for Bruce… I mean, I got all teary because of what happened to his parents… And he was so young, too! It would be so difficult to cope with the loss of your parents… :’(
But, I suppose, if it didn’t happen, Batman wouldn’t exist. Well, the Batman we know and love wouldn’t exist.

I cried at this scene. Several times in fact. This scene was so powerful to me for its simplicity and in what it represents. When I see Batman pay his respects, I see a boy whose parents were taken from him mercilessly and swore vengeance upon the Criminal world
