Battlefield 3 Anti-Cheat Measures Intensify

DICE has recently banned another batch of several hundred confirmed cheaters, all thanks to the game‘s players. By analyzing player behavior data on reported accounts, DICE can take decisive action, including stats wiping and/or banning players who are confirmed cheaters.

DICE stated on the Battlefield blog:

We have always taken cheating seriously. Starting today, we will further intensify our efforts to hunt down and rid Battlefield 3 of cheaters. Stats wiping and banning this disruptive minority is the only way they will understand that they are ruining the game for others. We do this for the millions of dedicated players out there who deserve a fair game, every game.

We recently spoke about a research paper that claimed cheating spreads through a community like a virus. If true, it looks like DICE has found the cure.

How often do you see cheaters in Battlefield 3?

Iv put a lot of time into Google searches to this day I have yet to see a single BF3 cheat site or cheat video.

Iv put a lot of time into driving to this day I have yet to see a single traffic law violator.

Iv put a lot of time into Skyrim to this day I have yet to see a single guard show me his scars from taking an arrow to the knee.

????

DICE should stop making games its the only way this disruptive minority will understand that they are ruining the game for others
Instead they think banning someone from something that is re-purchasable is more profitable, er…serious.

@G.A.R.B.A.G.E

While I find your opening point hilarious and astute, I don’t agree with:

“DICE should stop making games its the only way this disruptive minority will understand that they are ruining the game for others”

That makes the non-cheating fans suffer.
