Battlefield 3 ‘Armored Kill’ DLC Hits PS3 Today

Today is the day the first wave of players gets access to the new Battlefield 3 DLC, “Armored Kill,” provided you’re a Battlefield Premium subscriber and you’re playing the game on Playstation 3.

Armored Kill focuses on vehicle combat, adding new stuff for you to drive (and inevitably crash horrifically), plus what DICE is calling the biggest Battlefield map ever made. That’s the good news. The bad news is, if you’re not paying $49.99 for the Battlefield Premium subscription, and you’re not playing on PC, you’re going to be waiting a bit to play it.

If you’re on PC and Xbox 360, but you happen to subscribe, your Armored Kill comes next week. If you don’t subscribe, then god help you — PS3 gets Armored Kill on Sept. 18, PC and Xbox on Sept. 25. It’ll run you $15 if you’re not a subscriber (or 1200 MS Points). Check out the launch trailer below.

Game Front is on-site at PAX Prime all weekend (Aug 31-Sep 2), bringing you daily news, hands-on previews, interviews and pictures. Stay tuned for more PC gaming-focused coverage!
