Battlefield 3 End Game Includes High Speed Chases in CTF, Air Superiority Modes
Battlefield 3 has been expanded well beyond its initial release in 2011 with the availability of new DLC over the past year, all of which have been a part of the game’s Premium membership system. The game is set to receive a fourth and final DLC in the form of End Game, the last thing DICE plans to put out before moving onto the next title (via Holly Green) in the series.
The upcoming DLC will include two new game modes: Air Superiority and Capture the Flag. It’s the first time that CTF mode has been added to a Battlefield title, and unlike other games which contain CTF, Battlefield 3 will make full use of the game’s large-scale maps and vehicles. The trailer below showcases how motorbikes and humvees run off with a flag while being pursued by other bikes and an attack chopper.
The trailer ends with a glimpse of Air Superiority mode, which looks like something out of the movie Top Gun. You don’t have time to think up there. If you think, you’re dead.
In all, End Game adds four new maps designed for high-speed combat, a new dropship, two modes, and a ton of new assignments for Premium members. It’ll be out in March for all versions of the game. The previous DLC had a stuttered release, so hopefully they’ll be released simultaneously this time aroud.
