Battlefield 3 Premium Service & Expansion Release Date Leaked (RUMOR)

According to MP1st‘s “reliable inside sources,” a premium service for Battlefield 3 is inbound, and the game‘s second expansion pack, Close Quarters, will release June 12th.

This information allegedly came via a fact sheet, which listed a few dates:

  • 04-06-2012 – Battlefield Premium
  • 12-06-2012 – Close Quarters
  • XX-06-2012 – Guide
  • XX-08-2012 – Bonus Content

The description of Battlefield Premium reads:

Battlefield™ Premium will land you a number of content drops with unique in-game items not available anywhere else. First out is the one-of-a-kind Premium knife and black dog tag, plus a set of soldier camos, weapon camos, dog tags and Assignments that will make sure you stand out and get more personalization options.

Whether this premium service will require a one-time fee or, more likely, an ongoing subscription like Call of Duty Elite is still unknown. The fact sheet also mentions the release date for Close Quarters.

We cannot confirm that this is a legitimate leak, so take this information with a grain of salt.
