    1. It’s a rain soaked evening. Campo will task you to shoot the lights in the parking lot so another team can insert in the cover of darkness. Shoot them all and watch the other team rope in.

    2. Follow Campo to the next position on the rooftop as the team advances. Use your scope to take out the enemy that appears on the second floor of the building by the alley. He’ll be highlighted. When he’s taken out, follow Campo to the next position on the rooftop. You’ll rappel down.

    3. Keep following Campo and take cover when the van drives by. Take the alley way by the bad guys near the barrel. Don’t engage, and keep following. You’ll reach a wall and Campo will help you up. You’ll then help him over. Take cover behind the corner of the wall and an enemy will appear with a red diamond above his head who is watching the street. Take him out when you’re ready.

    4. Follow Campo as he takes cover inside a garage to let some troops on the street pass. Keep heading down the road and climb up the ladder Campo climbs. When you reach the top, take position where Campo kneels overlooking the street. There are two enemies on the right hand sidewalk that will bar the other team from advancing. Shoot them so the other team can head across.

    5. To your right is a ladder, climb down and Campo will follow suit. If you accidentally fall, don’t worry, you’ll survive the jump. Keep following Campo and take cover when he takes cover, then follow him up, through, and down the overpass. Keep going down the street, into another alley way and inside the building. As you make your way up, there’s a lone enemy that needs stabbing. You’ll automatically equip your knife when you get close enough.

Alright, so I’m reading other people are having trouble getting past this part. I did too. Usually when you want to sneak up on someone and knife them, your first instinct is to crouch, so that’s what I did, but for some reason, I kept dying trying to get close. To get past this part, do not crouch. You simply just need to walk up to him and press “LMB”. That makes total sense right?

    6. Anyway, once he’s down, enemy troops will enter the area and try to shoot you. Look for the marker above Campo’s head and run as fast as you can. You’ll drop down into a sewer, so follow Campo all the way through. When you reach the end, climb the ladder and immediately take cover. Take out all the enemies barring your progress, then follow Campo up the stairs and through a door. You’ll enter the room where Capt. Miller was being held.

    7. After radio communication, enemy troops will flood the adjacent room. Take cover and mow them down, then follow Campo down the flight of stairs. Follow Campo until you reach friendly troops. After the conversation, head through the building, while following Campo and the rest of the troops.

    8. You and Campo will split with the rest of squad by heading up the ladder. When you reach the top, follow Campo and get into position defending the troops. This is a fairly lengthy firefight. Enemy troops will appear on the right hand side at first, with a sprinkle of RPG troops on the rooftops and a machine gunner on a truck. They’ll eventually see your position and try to take you out as well. Take cover if you need to.

    9. Al-Bashir will soon become mobile and escape from the building the other team was breaching. When this happens, Campo will leave position. Follow him to stop the car. When you reach the edge of the building, you’ll equip your secondary gun. Spray the car as it goes by and it will crash.

    10. Head for the crash site and Campo will carry Al-Bashir. Immediately cover the road on the right side, where Al-Bashir’s car zoomed past, as Campo carries him to safety. Campo will enter a gate. Cover the gate and don’t let anyone get past. After you’ve done your job, head toward the marker on the door and enter. Follow the marker until you’ve reached Campo. He’s on the second floor.

    11. You’ll now have to defend this area. Place 3 claymores and cover the entrances on the ground floor. Head back up to where Campo is. Shoot the enemies on the ground floor. I stayed behind the escalator for cover. When they’re down, more enemies will swarm the area on the second floor, north side. Take cover and ride out the wave. You’ll then relocate. Follow Campo. You’ll stay on the second floor, but be in a different store front.

    12. Enemies will then come in a wave in the south/southwest side. Some will have elevated positions, to keep on eye on the ones above. There will also be some that run for your position. They should be easy to pick off as they barrel toward you. When the enemies cease, you’ll soon hear your ride for extraction. Take out a small group on the south side before you head out. Follow Campo outside as he carries Al-Bashir.

    13. You’ll be surrounded here, so take lots of cover. When Campo gets close to the Osprey, take cover behind it and take out anyone looking to do you harm, which is everyone else. Wait until it’s okay to enter the Osprey, then run the hell in there. You’ll then talk with Al-Bashir for the last time.

I’ve got a problem with part 3. It’s a bit different then in first mission (semper fields). I jump the train, there’s an explosion and I die. I don’t even see Solomon shooting me. I get out, press space at the right moment, explosion and I die.

During the Kaffarov mission when you have to shoot your commanding officer for the PC what do you press to shoot him? I have tried everything but just die. The normal LMB doesn’t shoot him what does?

In Operation Swordbreak, #10 above, I follow the wire, pull the plug and the guy comes in from behind and we fight. We get to the point where he head butts me and I just fall back and die. Nothing I try can get me past this point. Very frustrating. In the walkthrough he head butts me and we continue to fight–seems like it’s no big deal. What is the secret?

Rick: There appears to be a bug with some of the quick-time events that crops up if you’ve rebound any of the default keys. If you’ve changed the keys that the game is telling you to use (example: I rebound Jump to Right Mouse instead of space), you’ll need to push both the key it’s telling you to push AND the key you rebound it to simultaneously. For example, when told to push Space, I had to push both Space and Right Mouse together.

I encountered this bug and it took me a whole day to figure out how to bypass it. Hopefully, this will work for you.

After reading these comments I’ve decided not to buy BF3.

Halo PC is still the best FPS. 8D

BTW, FF new format sucks, they should go back to the website format they had 5 years ago.
I used to DL many files here, but now I usually go to other websites.

The last button to finish the target is “X”.

Finished the champaign on my Win7 64bit PC system. Found these bugs:

    1) Subway car – after you jump between cars and get shot at; when the prompt appears, rapidly press the ‘space bar’ to climb up the side of the subway car. Watch out for flying debris, crouch to stay alive.

    2) In the end scene of “Kaffarov”: to shot the CO – press the “tiddle” key (left of # 1 key), then the #1 key and the “tiddle” key again, AIM and shoot, all this at a fast pace. You might have to repeat the scene until it works.
Great game, lots of action and surprises. Too bad it’s too short. Bye!

Really bad game for all the hoopala -cut scenes are interminable- too many times “e” and “space” never work well-just very poor entertainment.

    On November 20, 2011 at 4:06 am

Yeah I`m agreeing wiv a lot of us that these bloody buttons u gotta keep pressin especially on the PC version like, space, E, is absolutly total gob e!! Just leave things alone instead of complicating them wiv having to press this n then press that n then havin 2do the whole F-FIN thing ALL over again, n again, n again, coz it`s totally ruining the flow of the game and the game experiance. The game people probably as per usual won`t give a toss about our feedback u know!!!!!!!!

I’m on the “Going Hunting” mission on the 360, and can’t get past the part of calling in the Warthog/paint the laser strike. It says to press the green A button, but nothing happens, and then the time runs out and mission fails. “AAAAGGH!”, very frustrating. Tried every button, and cannot find any help yet on the web either.

Most of you ppl on here are talking trash, BF3 is without any doubt the best Fps ive ever played, if your game experience sux you have an out dated PC that cant unleash the beast in a game. If you PC is Anything less than a i7 gaming machine with direct X11, then no doubt your experience would cause you grief. BF3 is Incredible. And those complaining about Keyboard button sequences, have’nt you heard about XBOX 360 controllers for PC or are you 2 povo to afford 1. Alot of you are crying because your system is old and not up to the latest game tech. BF3 is Incredible. and on my system looks realistic as life itself.

This game is not nearly what it’s advertised to be. I cannot really recommend it to anyone and will not buy it for my son. So much hype for so little reality. Medal of Honor is better than this at less than half the price.

For the close up fighting scene and all who struggle: On Xbox switch to the default control settings just to be sure you dont mix up the melee attach button e.g., then press the buttons as they appear on the screen, usually LR, B or A (they light up if you press them not too early and not too late) Don’t press all kind of buttons like crazy or in panic because this wont work.

Somehow I already get stuck on this first episode, I keep falling of the train.
Rapidly press ‘Space’ does not seem to help. Tried it in combination with
A or D and W but I always fall down, never get up to the top of the train.
Pls help, this is an early bummer… what am I doing wrong ?
    Thanks

    On August 14, 2012 at 5:45 am

Frank: If you have changed your key bindings, you need to not only hit the Space bar, but you also need to hit the button you re-bound Jump to. Example: I use the Right Mouse Button to jump, so when that QTE appears, I have to hit Space and the right mouse.

    Hope this helps!
